The Clamcleat® CL817Cage is an accessory that allows ropes to be cleated and uncleated at an angle of up to 70 degrees, rather than only in line with the cleat. Adding Cages to cleats fitted with Keepers will allow the helmsman or crew to adjust a control line from different positions quickly, easily, positively and without fear of accidental cleating.
Use the CL817 with a CL815 Keeper and CL211 Mk2 or CL272 cleat. You can also fit a CL819 Tapered Pad underneath.
