Following Brexit and in an ongoing effort by ourselves to ensure the smoothest possible purchase process for our customers for European countries regardless of their EU status we are trialing Shock Sailing paying the Duty or VAT on your purchase at point of departure of goods from the UK. 

This should facilitate a faster delivery process and take away the need for the courier company to contact yourself in your home country to pay the Duty or VAT before your order can be delivered.

Inevitably there is an additional charge from the couriers for this prepayment service so our Shipping charges for these destinations now include.

• Shipping fee to the destination country
• Charge from the courier company to facilitate the process of Shock Sailing paying the Duty or VAT for your order

We have found this method of paying Duty/VAT to be more accurate than if charges are applied by customs, who also charge a fee for calculating the amount of Duty/VAT.
